KUALA LUMPUR: KPower Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, KPower Development Sdn Bhd (KDSB) has obtained approval from Terengganu state government to develop affordable and mixed housing development on government land in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KPower said KDSB will be appointed by the Terengganu State Government as the developer for the proposed development on 18.959 hectares of land in the state.

It said 4.85% of the gross development value (GDV) shall be attributable to Tabung Perumahan Mampu Milik Terengganu under the purview of the housing department of Terengganu's state secretary.
KPower said KDSB would allocate a minimum of 50% commercial shop units to Malays/Bumiputera and grant a discount of 5% from the initial sales price to Malays/ Bumiputera.
“The property development is expected to contribute positively to the net assets, consolidated earnings, and earnings per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2023 (FY23) to FY25,” it said.
